PURPOSE <br /> 1.1. To provide requirements,duties,and responsibilities for each classification of membership. <br /> 2. OSHA REQUIRMENTS <br /> 2.1. N/A <br /> 3. CERTIFICATION LEVELS <br /> 3.1. All <br /> 4. POLICIES <br /> 4.1. PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS <br /> 4.1.1. Prospective Members should submit their completed application to the membership <br /> committee chair either by mail,email,or in person. <br /> 4,1.2. All Prospective Members shall complete a SORS approved interview process and be <br /> recommended for membership by the membership chair,appropriate training officer,or <br /> Assistant Chief at a Squad business meeting. Membership status will be granted only after <br /> approval by the SORS membership. <br /> 4.2. GENERAL MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES <br /> 4.2.1. Emergency Operations Members <br /> 4.2.1.1. EMS Division-All members of the EMS Division shall be certified to at least the <br /> North Carolina EMT-Basic Level <br /> 4.2.1.2. Rescue Division-All members of the Rescue Division shall be certified to at least <br /> the North Carolina Medical Responder,or equivalent certification,or be working <br /> towards certification to be obtained within one year. <br /> 4.2.2. Community Members <br /> 4.2.2.1. Community Members shall meet the requirements set forth herein,and who through <br /> profession,training,and/or experience possess abilities and/or knowledge which <br /> furthers the purposes and objectives of the organization. <br /> 4.3.
