3 <br /> $163,604 in the Medicaid Maximization Capital Project and $27,720 in the General Fund <br /> Health Department budget for the Family Success Alliance project to increase the hours <br /> for Zone Navigators (contracted through Freedom House and Empowerment, Inc.) from <br /> an average of 20 hours to 30 hours per week from January to June 2017. Increasing the <br /> hours for Zone Navigators during this period will enable them to implement additional <br /> community-based recruitment strategies for the 2017 Kindergarten Readiness Camp and <br /> the navigator program, as well as enhance their ability to support community-building <br /> efforts. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of the $27,720 in the General Fund, and <br /> amends the following Capital Project Ordinance for the receipt of the additional $163,604 <br /> in the Medicaid Maximization Capital Project. (See Attachment 1, column 6) <br /> Medicaid Maximization Capital Project($163,604) -Project#30012 <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Current FY 2016-17 FY 2016-17 <br /> FY 2016-17 Amendment Revised <br /> Medicaid Maximization Funds $7,242,155 $1 63,604 $7,405,759 <br /> Total Project Funding $7,242,155 $163,604 $7,405,759 <br /> Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY 2016-17 FY 2016-17 <br /> FY 2016-17 Amendment Revised <br /> Medicaid Maximization Project $7,242,155 $1 63,604 $7,405,759 <br /> Total Costs $7,242,155 $163,604 $7,405,759 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential or <br /> economic status. <br /> County Capital Project Ordinance (9-'1-'1 Backup Center) <br /> T At its December 5, 2016 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved an <br /> amendment to the Next Generation A9-1-1 Solutions agreement to provide connectivity <br /> between the backup 911 Center and the primary 911 Center, and authorized the use of <br /> Emergency Telephone funds to fund the necessary hardware and software. This budget <br /> amendment provides for a fund balance appropriation of $78,153 from the Emergency <br /> Telephone System Fund, and amends the following 9-1-1 Backup Center Capital Project <br /> Ordinance for the receipt of these E911 funds: (See Attachment 1, column 7) <br />
