SECTION Occupational Safety & Health <br /> STANDARD <br /> OPERATING S.O.G. No 402.04 <br /> ip. GUIDELINES <br /> SUBJECT Hazardous Materials Training <br /> 1. All responders will maintain training levels according to the duties they <br /> are to perform. Records of the methodology used to demonstrate <br /> competency in the training levels listed below will be maintained by the <br /> TRT Training Lieutenant. <br /> a. First responder awareness level. <br /> b. First responder operations level. <br /> c. First responder operations plus level. <br /> d. Hazardous materials technician. <br /> e. Hazardous materials specialist. <br /> 2, All responders maintaining training levels shall receive annual <br /> refresher training of sufficient content and duration to maintain their <br /> competencies. <br /> B. The Incident Commander of a hazardous materials emergency response <br /> will be: <br /> 1. Trained and certified to the first responder operations level. <br /> 2. Able to implement the TRT's ICS. <br /> 3. Able to implement the TRT's emergency response plan. <br /> 4. All incident commanders who will assume control of a hazardous <br /> materials incident will receive annual refresher training in the TRT's <br /> ICS of sufficient content and duration to maintain their competencies. <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
