Ample SCBA or SABA will be ready at the scene to have one unit for <br /> each member who may be exposed to respiratory hazards. <br /> O. Sufficient reserve air supply will be supplied by the use of spare tanks or <br /> by an on scene refill capability or a combination of both. <br /> 1. A service area to change out air tanks will be provided by support <br /> personnel. <br /> 2. Spare tanks will be brought to the designated change out area. <br /> 3. Rescue 5, the mobile air refilling unit, will be set up in a designated <br /> location away from the hazardous area. <br /> Vi. INSPECTION. <br /> SCBA or SABA equipment shall be inspected periodically to determine its <br /> readiness forthe unit.The frequency of inspection s as damage excessive wear <br /> sustained by follows: <br /> A. Before and after each use: <br /> 1. Before each use, each SCBA or SABA should be inspected for the <br /> following: <br /> a. Colin=sure: The minimum pressure should not fall below 90 <br /> percent of the full cylinder pressure. Example: A 4,500 psi cylinder <br /> should not contain less than 4,050 psi. <br /> b. Low-air alarm: This should sound when the cylinder valve is <br /> opened. <br /> c. Facepiece: This should be clean and free of debris, and it should <br /> seal properly on the wearer's face. <br /> d. Exhalation valve, bypass valve, and operation: All should function <br /> normally. <br /> 2.
