Orange County,North Carolina <br /> Standard Operating Policy and Procedure <br /> Subject: TRT Training Requirements S.O.P.No.:TRT- <br /> Effective Date: <br /> Revision Date: <br /> 1. PURPOSE <br /> 1.1, To provide all members of the Technical Rescue Team with minimum training requirements to <br /> remain active on the team. <br /> 2. OSHA REQUIRMENTS <br /> 2.1. All members of the Technical Rescue Team shall be trained in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR <br /> 1910.156 Section C,Training and Education. <br /> 3. POLICIES <br /> 3.1. This policy is to be used in conjunction with other training requirements included in the Standard <br /> Operations Manual. This policy supersedes all other training documents when applied to <br /> Technical Rescue Team personnel. <br /> 3.2. Members of the Technical Rescue Team shall attend six(6)out of twelve(12)of the monthly <br /> training sessions to remain active with the team. <br /> 3.3. Members of the Technical Rescue Team shall maintain 36 hours of annual continuing education <br /> as defined by the North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission. <br /> 3.4. Members found in violation of 3.2 shall have their membership from the Technical Rescue Team <br /> terminated. <br /> 3.4.1. Members terminated from the Technical Rescue Team under 3.4 may reapply for <br /> membership to the Technical Rescue Team sixty(60)days from the date of termination. <br /> 3.4.2. Terminated members desiring to return to the Technical Rescue Team shall be voted on <br /> by the current Team members. <br /> 3.4.3. Members may not return to the Technical Rescue Team after termination in less than <br /> ninety(90)days from the date of termination. <br /> 4. PROCEDURES <br /> 4.1. Training shall be conducted on a monthly basis. Training will be planned and run by the <br /> Technical Operations Captain and the Technical Training Captain. <br /> 4.2. Accurate records of training,including the location,type,and personnel involved,shall be <br /> maintained by the Technical Training Captain. <br /> 4.3. All training shall be conducted in a safe manner,and all personnel shall abide by all safety <br /> regulations during training exercises. <br /> 4.3.1. Training programs for all personnel engaged in emergency operations shall include <br /> procedures for safe exit of personnel from a dangerous area in the event of equipment <br /> failure or sudden changes in conditions. <br /> TRT-002 TRT Training Requirements.doc <br /> - 1 - <br />
