No 603.01 <br /> GUIDELINES <br /> SUBJECT Rope Rescue <br /> 9 POLICY. <br /> 9.1 Training Levels <br /> 9.1.1 Rope Rescue Awareness meets or exceeds the <br /> minimum levels of operational training for rope rescue <br /> as defined by NFPA Standard 1670 Chapter 4-2 <br /> inclusive. <br /> 9.1.2 Rope Rescue Operational meets or exceeds the <br /> minimum levels of operational level training for rope <br /> rescue as defined by NFPA Standard 1670 Chapter 4-3 <br /> inclusive. <br /> 9.1.2.1 The Emergency Rescue Technician (ERT) certification <br /> from the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshall will <br /> be considered Operational level. <br /> 9.1.3 Rope Rescue Technician meets or exceeds the <br /> minimum levels of technician tandard 1670 Chapter 4-4 <br /> rescue as defined by NFPA <br /> 9.1.4 Rope Rescue Specialist meets or exceeds the <br /> minimum levels of technician level training for rope <br /> rescue as defined by NFPA Standard 1670 Chapter 4-4 <br /> inclusive and one or more of the following <br /> certifications: <br /> helicopter operations <br /> confined space rescue <br /> other advanced rope rescue courses <br /> 9.2 Training Certification <br /> It is the responsibility of each participating agency to train and certify <br /> its own members. <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br />
