SECTION Emergency Operations <br /> STANDARD <br /> OPERATING S.O.G, No 600,02 <br /> GUIDELINES <br /> SUBJECT Incident Command System <br /> XII. RESPONSIBILITIES OF LIAISON OFFICER (See ICS- <br /> 220-3). <br /> A. The Incident Commander, will when necessary to maintain span of <br /> control, appoint a Liaison Officer for the incident. <br /> B. The Liaison Officer will be part of the command staff and report directly to <br /> the Incident Commander. <br /> C. The Liaison Officer will be a point of contact for representatives from other <br /> agencies. <br /> D. The Liaison Officer will report to the Incident Commander the resources <br /> available from other agencies, and keep IC informed of any special needs, <br /> or need for additional resources. <br /> XIII. STAGING (See ICS-222-1). <br /> A. The Incident Commander, will when necessary to maintain span of <br /> control, appoint an incident Staging Officer. <br /> B. The Staging Officer will appointed, the directly Staging Incident <br /> them report to the <br /> Operations Chief is app the <br /> Operations Chief. <br /> C. If a staging area has not been designated the Staging Officer will be <br /> responsible the scouting and locating a suitable area to be used. <br /> D. Once staging has been established, the Staging Officer will notify <br /> Command or Operations of location. <br /> E. Once staging has been established and announced all units responding to <br /> the scene unless assigned, report to staging and check in with Staging <br /> Officer. <br /> F. All members responding to the scene in private vehicles, will park vehicles <br /> far enough away from the scene to prevent congestion, don protective <br /> gear and report to Staging Officer. <br /> G. All members assigned to staging unless assigned to perform a task, or <br /> released from scene, will remain in staging. <br /> H. All Crew Leaders assigned to perform a task, will, after task is completed, <br /> unless reassigned make sure that they and their crew reports to staging or <br /> rehab. <br /> I. If crews report to rehab after completion of assignment, that crew after <br /> being rehabbed will report to staging unless reassigned. <br /> Page 8 of 8 <br />
