N`� -IE RESCUE SQUAD <br /> RESCUE SQUAD '�.. �I lu^u) (t��y'1J RESCUE <br /> Semper Aptus Muneris - Volunteers Since 1971 <br /> Resume of training and experience of the applicant in the technical rescue discipline: <br /> South Orange Rescue Squad(SORS)has been providing all-volunteer EMS and rescue services <br /> since 1971. <br /> SORS provides technician-level rescue service training in the following areas: <br /> High-Angle Rescue <br /> Swiftwater Rescue <br /> Confined Space Rescue <br /> Responding personnel are trained to meet or exceed applicable OSHA and NFPA standards as <br /> well as internationally recognized certification criteria. <br /> SORS Technical Rescue Team(TRT)members currently provide technical rescue services for <br /> the citizens of Orange County whenever requested through the 9-1-1 system. <br /> SORS TRT currently provides technical rescue services and response by contract to the <br /> University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Energy Services (ES) and Environment Health and <br /> Safety(EHS). <br /> SORS TRT currently provides technical rescue services and response by contract to the Orange <br /> Water and Sewer Authority(OWASA). <br /> SORS TRT currently provides technical rescue services and response to adjoining counties, <br /> statewide,and to neighboring states as requested through mutual aid agreements and North <br /> Carolina Division of Emergency Management(NCEM). <br /> Most recently, SORS TRT was deployed to eastern North Carolina in response to Hurricane <br /> Matthew. <br /> is <br /> PO Box 128, Carrboro, NC 27510-0128 I 919.967.1515 I sors.us <br />
