SECTION Emergency Operations <br /> STANDARD <br /> OPERATING S.O.G. No 600.02 <br /> GUIDELINES <br /> SUBJECT Incident Command System <br /> IX. RESPONSIBILITIES OF LOGISTICS CHIEF (See ICS- <br /> 223-1). <br /> A. The Incident Commander will, when necessary to maintain the span of <br /> control appoint a Logistic Chief for the incident. <br /> B. The responsibilities of the Logistic Chief will be: <br /> 1. Provide for medical aid for incident personnel and manage Responder <br /> Rehab. <br /> 2. Coordinate immediate critical incident stress debriefing function. <br /> 3. Provide and manage any needed supplies or equipment. <br /> 4. Forecast and obtain future resource needs (coordinate with the <br /> Planning Section). <br /> 5. Provide for communications plan and any needed communications <br /> equipment. <br /> 6. Provide fuel and needed repairs for equipment. <br /> 7. Obtain specialized equipment or expertise per Command. <br /> 8. Provide food and associated supplies. <br /> 9. Secure any needed fixed or portable facilities. <br /> 10.Provide any other logistical needs as required by Command. <br /> 11.Supervise assigned personnel. <br /> X. RESPONSIBILITIES OF FINANCE/ADMINISTRATION <br /> CHIEF (See ICS-224-1). <br /> A. The Incident Commander will, when necessary to maintain the span of <br /> control appoint a Finance/Administration Chief for the incident. <br /> B. The responsibilities of the Finance/Administration Chief will be: <br /> 1. Procuring of services and/or supplies from sources within and outside <br /> the department as requested by Command (coordinates with <br /> Logistics). <br /> 2. Document all financial cost of the incident. <br /> 3. Keep documentation for possible cost recovery for services and/or <br /> supplies. <br /> 4. Analyze and manage legal risk for incidents (i.e. hazardous materials <br /> clean up). <br /> Page 6 of 6 <br />
