3. Company property, information or business opportunities may not be used for personal <br /> gain. Employees with a conflict-of-interest question should seek advice from <br /> management or the North State Medical Transport Compliance Officer. <br /> 4. Before engaging in any activity, transaction or relationship that might give rise to a <br /> conflict of interest, employees must seek review from management or the North State <br /> Medical Transport Compliance Officer. <br /> 5. Violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal. <br /> H-69-Outside Employment <br /> 1. Employees are permitted to engage in outside work or to hold other jobs, subject to <br /> certain restrictions as outlined below. <br /> 2. Employees with questions about possible conflicts regarding outside employment should <br /> seek advice from management or the North State Medical Transport Compliance Officer. <br /> 3. Activities and conduct away from the job must not compete with, conflict with or <br /> compromise the company interests or adversely affect job performance and the ability to <br /> fulfill all job responsibilities. <br /> 4. Employees are prohibited from performing any services for customers on nonworking <br /> time that are normally performed by NSMT. <br /> 5. This prohibition also extends to the unauthorized use of any company tools or equipment <br /> and the unauthorized use or application of any confidential information. <br /> 6. In addition, employees are not to solicit or conduct any outside business during paid <br /> working time. <br /> 7. Employees are cautioned to carefully consider the demands that additional work activity <br /> will create before accepting outside employment. <br /> 8. Outside employment will not be considered an excuse for poor job performance, <br /> absenteeism, tardiness, leaving early, refusal to travel or refusal to work overtime or <br /> different hours. <br /> 9. If NSMT determines that an employee's outside work interferes with performance, the <br /> employee may be asked to terminate the outside employment. <br /> 11-70-Gratuities to Government Employees or Officials <br /> 1. In adherence to government regulations,no employee may offer a gratuity to any <br /> government employee or official on behalf of, or in pursuance of, North State Medical <br /> Transport business. <br /> 2. Gratuities are defined as meals, drinks, gifts, expenses, cash or any other item of value, <br /> including personal service. <br /> 3. North State Medical Transport strictly forbids any form of a business gift to federal, state, <br /> or municipal employees. <br /> is <br /> 4. Management is charged with the responsibility of informing all employees of this policy <br /> and maintaining adherence to it <br /> 5.
