This policy covers all electronic devices owned or operated by North State Medical Transport <br /> and covers operating systems, 3rd party software, freeware and shareware applications, utilities <br /> and servers. <br /> 1. Under no circumstances will any employee will be allowed to load software not <br /> permitted without petiiiission on any North State Medical Transport electronic device. <br /> 2. Under no circumstances will any employee will be allowed on any North State Medical <br /> Transport computer other than in the course of normal job duties. <br /> 3. Under no circumstances will any employee use North State Medical Transport computers <br /> to conduct personal business without pre-approval. <br /> 4. Under no circumstances will any employee use North State Medical Transport computers <br /> to conduct criminal activity. <br /> 5. Under no circumstances shall any employee use North State Medical Transport <br /> computers to visit any web site that is found to be sexually explicit, offensive or racially <br /> bias. <br /> 6. Any infraction of this policy will result in the immediate termination of said employee. <br /> 7. All electronic devices used to generate patient care records are the responsibility of the <br /> employee at all time. <br /> 8. <br /> See: NSMT Compliance and HIPAA Policy Guides for addition guidance <br /> Right to Monitor <br /> All company-supplied technology and company-related work records belong to the company and <br /> not to the employee. NSMT routinely monitors use of company-supplied technology. <br /> Enforcement <br /> Inappropriate or illegal use or communications may be subject to disciplinary action up to and <br /> including termination of employment. <br /> Any employee found in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action up to and <br /> including tettuination. <br /> H-68-Conflicts of Interest <br /> The following policies are but a brief overview of NSMT expectation of Compliance. Employees must avoid any relationship or activity that might impair, or even appear to <br /> impair,their ability to make objective and fair decisions when perfoiniing their jobs. <br /> 2. At times, an employee may be faced with situations in which actions taken on behalf of <br /> NSMT may conflict with the employee's own personal interests. <br /> 70 <br />
