5. Failure to report an injury or illness may preclude or delay the payment of any benefits to the <br /> employee and could subject North State Medical Transport to fines and penalties. <br /> 6. When injuries occur employees will be given assistance in the reporting process. <br /> 7. Employees should report to the Compliance Officer immediately upon realization of the <br /> injury or as soon as possible following medical care treatment. <br /> 8. Employee injuries that require medical attention shall immediately be sent to an appropriate <br /> medical facility. <br /> 9. Injuries occurring after hours requiring medical attention should be seen at the closest <br /> appropriate medical facility. <br /> 10. Employee injuries that do not require medical attention shall be documented to the director <br /> by the employee to include the nature of the injury,the practice that caused the injury, and <br /> what post-event action they took. <br /> 11. A management member of North State Medical Transport shall complete a worker's <br /> compensation report for the NC Industrial Commission. <br /> 12. All documentation of employee injuries shall be forwarded to the director. <br /> 13. Any employee who requires medical attention may not return to work without a completed <br /> Fitness for Duty form. <br /> 14.For further information please contact the NSMT HR Department. <br /> H-46-Exposures to Pathogens <br /> 1. Employees will receive initial training and annually thereafter outlined in the NSMT <br /> Infectious Control Plan. <br /> 2. Upon completion of the call, any employee who is exposed to blood or other bodily fluids <br /> shall immediately notify the infectious control officer. The employee will immediately be subject to the exposure management process as outlined <br /> in the North State Medical Transport Infectious Control Plan. <br /> 4.
