The disaster recovery procedures outlined in the Disaster Recovery Plan must be tested <br /> OD a periodic basis to ensure that PHI and other essential business information and the <br /> systems needed to make e-PHI available can be fully restored or recovered. <br /> 7. The HIPAA Compliance Officer will ensure that each functional area of the Company <br /> with medium and high risk to PHI has an appropriate Disaster Recovery Plan in place. <br /> Emergency Mode Operation Plan <br /> 1. Each functional area of North State Medical Transport must establish and implement (as <br /> needed) procedures to enable continuation of administrative, patient care, and billing <br /> and business processes for protection of the security of PHI and other essential business <br /> information while operating in emergency mode. <br /> 2. Emergency mode operation procedures outlined in the Emergency Mode Operation <br /> Plan must be tested periodically to ensure that critical business processes can continue <br /> in a satisfactory manner while operating in emergency mode. <br /> 3. The HIPAA Compliance Officer will ensure that each functional area of the Company <br /> with medium and high risk to PHI has an appropriate Emergency Mode Operation Plan <br /> in place. <br />
