NORTH <br /> MEDI A T ' A SPORT <br /> Describe type and level of service to be provided and your capacity to provide <br /> twenty-four (24) hour coverage, seven days per week for the area to be <br /> served? <br /> Description of the type and level of service NSMT has the capabilities to provide ALS <br /> and BLS emergent and non-emergent services. Services provided will be in compliance with <br /> county franchise agreement. Our stocked and staffed units provide twenty-four hour coverage for <br /> point-to-point and out-of-county services to the citizens of Orange County. We work with <br /> existing services to determine system needs and continue to reevaluate the need for additional <br /> resources over the long-term. Short-term needs for additional resources are evaluated on a daily <br /> basis and additional resource needs will be located accordingly. Through system status <br /> management, additional North State Medical Transport resources will be brought into the county <br /> from our other base locations, such as Wake and Franklin Counties, to cover any overflow needs. <br /> Our service currently provides 24 hour ALS/BLS coverage to our customers. <br /> Location from which vehicles intend to operate <br /> North State Medical Transport provides services from existing locations in Wake and Franklin <br /> counties. Units are staged in Orange county based on call volume needs. Current bases of <br /> operation meet all county codes and safety requirements for EMS quarters. NSMT locations <br /> meet OEMS requirements for safety and protection from heat or cold exposure. <br /> Units dispatched from the local office. Backfill calls not prescheduled will be worked out with <br /> local facilities based on response requirements. <br /> The manner in which the public will access the system and how the vehicles <br /> will be dispatched <br /> Dispatching will be handled through our dispatch center which is staffed 24 hours a day. Toll- <br /> free phone numbers will be provided to agencies throughout Orange County. Our field units are <br /> equipped with fleet management systems (Teletrac)that allow for easy communication via <br /> messaging between the dispatch center and each ambulance. In addition, each unit has cellular <br /> phone service and local Orange County radio channels for communication.Toll-free contact <br /> information will be listed with the 911 center, local agencies, and local phone directories.
