North State Medical Transport ambulances are designed to ensure the highest degree of <br /> safety, efficiency, effectiveness, and operability for NSMT personnel. <br /> 2. This will be dependent upon the ongoing weather conditions. <br /> 5. Vehicles should be washed and dried with supplies as provided by North State Medical <br /> Transport <br /> 6. The interiors will be cleaned daily to ensure that all trash and debris are removed and that <br /> it presents with a neat, clean image for riders. <br /> 7. Vehicles should be vacuumed many times as needed basis or no less than once a week <br /> 8. Interior cab surfaces should be wiped down daily for infection control purposes <br /> 9. Interior cabinets will have all equipment removed and be wiped down weekly <br /> E/F-3-Disinfection of EMS Vehicles <br /> The procedure for the disinfection of North State Medical Transport vehicles will be categorized <br /> as either gross contaminated or non-gross contaminated. <br /> For non-gross contaminated vehicles, the following will apply: <br /> 1. Vehicle surfaces that are free from gross contamination will be wiped down daily with an <br /> EPA registered and approved tuberculocidal solution. <br /> 2. Employees are to wear gloves for hand protection during this process. <br /> 3. The doors to the vehicle should remain open until the product is dried to ensure proper <br /> ventilation. <br /> 4. The use of any diluted bleach solution is prohibited due to the potential for damage to <br /> metal surfaces and clothing <br /> For gross-contaminated vehicles, the following will apply: <br /> 1. Vehicles requiring significant decontamination will be removed from service until <br /> cleaning is completed. <br /> 2.
