NO jewelry may be worn at any time with the following exceptions: <br /> Watches, wedding bands, approved necklaces(must be worn inside shirt), and Medic Alert Bracelets. <br /> The following are the uniform guidelines for ALL employees: <br /> EMTs/Paramedics: <br /> You are expected to be in uniform at start of your shift and throughout the shift while on calls and/or in <br /> the ambulance. <br /> Dispatchers: <br /> • You are to use good judgment in your professional appearance. <br /> • Unacceptable attire includes sweatpants,tank tops, cut-offs,or any other inappropriate <br /> clothing. <br /> Employees are responsible for the maintenance and care of their individual uniforms. <br /> All employees required to wear a uniform will be issued logo polo shirts. Preferred pants will be khaki, <br /> tan, blue or black color for daily work attire. <br /> Equipment Training and Maintenance <br /> 1. Employees receive in-service training on all company equipment. <br /> 2. Employees are required to ensure that equipment placed in their care is in proper working <br /> order. <br /> 3. Employees are required to report equipment malfunctions. <br /> 4. All vehicles are inspected daily at the start of each shift (refer to DAILY VEHICLE INSPECTION <br /> REPORT under Pre-Trip Vehicle Checklist) <br /> 5. All vehicles are inspected at the end of each shift (refer to DAILY VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORT <br /> under Post-Trip Vehicle Checklist) <br /> 6. All vehicles are routinely maintained by a certified mechanic and records will be maintained by <br /> FIRST CHOICE Medical Transport. <br /> ELDER OR CHILD ABUSE <br /> 1. You shall take note of any signs of elder or child abuse to the patient that you observe by <br /> completing company Incident Report. <br /> 2. You shall immediately report any abuse to the medical staff at the medical facility and/or <br /> Department of Social Services (USS) or equivalent in the county. <br /> PHYSICAL BEHAVIOUR RESTRAINTS <br /> 1. You cannot put a patient into, or transport a patient with, physical behavior restraints unless: <br /> a. A physician or court has authorized the placement of the restraints; or <br /> b. The patient is in the custody of a police or corrections officer and the officer <br /> accompanies the patient within the patient compartment; or <br /> Page 14 of 15 <br />
