Several <br /> comments have been added to put the table in perspective. <br /> Compliance Summary: <br /> - There are 93 known/permitted dischargers in WSRO's portion <br /> of the Haw River. <br /> - 54 dischargers are in compliance with currently applicable <br /> water quality standards/permitted discharge limitations. <br /> - 39 dischargers are in noncompliance. <br /> - 18 of the 39 noncompliers are schools with pending variance <br /> proceedings. <br /> - there remain 21 facilities in noncompliance; 10 of the 21 <br /> are involved in abatement programs with definite compliance <br /> dates set. <br /> - there remain 11 facilities, four (4) of which are in <br /> marginal noncompliance with efforts underway to resolve <br /> their problems in short order. <br /> - seven (7) dischargers are receiving needed special attention <br /> by WSRO staff. <br /> Please note that this summary information is based on recent informatin. <br /> However, new permits may have been issued since this information was <br /> put together. <br />
