Nassif, Mayor <br /> Town of Chapel Hill <br /> 306 North Columbia Street <br /> Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27514 <br /> Dear Mayor Nassif: <br /> In response to your request for certain information concerning the Haw <br /> and New Hope Rivers, the Division of Environmental Management is providing <br /> the following responses. The numbered list below corresponds to the <br /> numbers in your April 16, 1982 letters to Mr. VanTilburg and Mr. Russell <br /> Radford. <br /> (1) Attached please find description and station locations for monitoring <br /> in the Haw and New Hope River basins. The maps attached show all <br /> current monitoring stations in the Haw and New Hope River drainages <br /> and the stations are marked in red. <br /> (2) Maps showing the location of all permitted wastewater dischargers <br /> in the Haw and New Hope Rivers are attached. The names and NPDES <br /> permit numbers are included. There are no significant wastewater <br /> dischargers to these drainage areas that are not currently under <br /> permit. The status of any discharger not listed in this material <br /> can be discussed directly with Mr. VanTilburg of the Raleigh Regional <br /> Office at 733-2314 or Mr. Russell Radford of the Winston-Salem <br /> Regional Office at 761-2351. A map of Division Regional Offices is <br /> included in the attached information. <br /> (3) The Division maintains permit files for each discharger to State <br /> waters. Permit files for those dischargers identified in #2 are <br /> available for public review and copies can be obtained; however, <br /> there is a charge for these copies. Access to these files can be <br /> coordinated through Mr. Lee Fleming, Head of Permits and Engineering <br /> Branch.
