Thomas( <br /> -- Phone Ntrober: Ext. 501 <br /> .. . <br /> PURPOSE: To consider establishing a schedule for departmental and agency budget work <br /> sessions and to determine if there is a desire to have the sessions in <br /> locations other than Hillsborough. <br /> NEED: The proposed budget includes requested and recommended amounts. While the <br /> narratives on each department explain changes , work sessions will afford fur <br /> information and answers to Board member questions. <br /> Last year departments and agencies appeared as follows : <br /> 1 ) Mental Health and DSS <br /> 2) JOCCA, Dept. on Aging, RSVP, Libraries , Recreation, Task Forces, <br /> and Advisory Councils, and Commission on Women. <br /> 3) Womens Health Counseling, Coalition for Battered Women, Rape Crise! <br /> Center, Public Health and the Dispute Settlement Center. <br /> 4) Emergency Services (911 , EMS, etc. ) , Sheriff's Department, Register <br /> Deeds and Elections. <br /> 5) Public Works, Energy, Administrative (Manager, Planning and Board o' <br /> Commissioners). <br /> Public hearing on the budget is scheduled for June 8 and budaet adoption for <br /> June 22, 1982. <br /> IMPACT: To give advance notice in order that department and agency heads may be <br /> prepared to make any presentations at their appointed times . <br /> oct-nmmrunAT-Trthi. <br />
