Rees, Director <br /> 2) List of surplus items Phone Ntrer: 919-732-9361 ext#49B <br /> Pur;ose: To adopt a resolution authorizing the Director of Purchasing and Central, <br /> Services to conduct an auction of surplus county personal property on <br /> June 5, 1982, at a time and place to be determined later and onan "as is, <br /> highest bidder" basis. The resolution would also allow the Director to <br /> remove from the fixed asset inventory those items that have been stolen, <br /> thrown out, destroyed, or mistakenly placedin the inventory, but never <br /> removed. <br /> _ . <br /> Need: <br /> G.S. I60A-270 (B) requires Board authorization to sell surplus items and <br /> the county auditors have repeatedly requested that items that no longer <br /> exist or never did exist be removed from the inventory list, <br /> Bring additional revenue into the general fund, dispose of surplus items, <br /> and up-date the county fixed asset system. <br /> Reccmmendation(s) : <br /> Adopt the resolution. <br />
