The Board asked <br /> the Planning Board to rather further information on the sight distance <br /> at the intersection of SR 1710 and the private drive serving the <br /> subdivision. <br /> The surveyor of the property has provided the additional information <br /> shown on pages 3-5. <br /> The information shows a sight distance of 243' with a stopping distance <br /> of 265'. <br /> Property is located in Eno Toinshin off SR 1710 (Old NC 10). <br /> There are eight lots nr000sed out or: 12.22 acres. The road <br /> pronosed is to be constructed to Private "Class A" standards. <br /> The lot sizes meet the minimum standards of the Zoning Crdinance <br /> and Subdivision Regulations. This tract is designated Rural <br /> Residential in the Land Use Plan. <br /> IMPACT: The additional information provided by the developers indicate that <br /> the sight distances at the intersection is longer than thought at <br /> the first Board meeting. <br /> The proposal meets the existing standards for lot size and the tract <br /> is bordered by Duke Forest and Southern Railroad. This area is <br /> designated as Rural Residential and approval of this request would <br /> have minimal impacts. <br /> -ScICOOird'il'IION: Planning Staff recommended approval based on the additional information <br /> provided by the developer and an extensive on site visit by staff, <br /> The Planning Board recorrmended approval 3/15/82 with concern about <br /> the sight distance at the private and state road intersection, <br /> Planning Board recommended approval at their L1/19/82 meeting of the <br /> preliminary plat based on the additional information provided by <br /> the developers. • <br /> /sw <br />
