C, <br /> 27278 <br /> RICHARD E.WHETTED,CS.... <br /> NORMAN GUSTAVE5ON <br /> SHIRLEY I MARSHALL <br /> NORMAN WALKER <br /> DON W111310E7 <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS, the well being of our people depends upon the production of ample <br /> supplies of food, fiber, and other products of the soil; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the quality and quantity of these products depend upon the conservation, <br /> wise and proper management of the soil and water resources; and, <br /> WHEREAS, our people have a mutual interest in the land and share the responsibility <br /> of preserving its productivity; and, <br /> WHEREAS, conservation districts provide a practical and democratic organization <br /> through which landowners are taking the initiative to conserve and <br /> make proper use of these resources; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the conservation districts are carrying forward a program of soil and <br /> water conservation in cooperation with numerous agencies and countless <br /> individuals; <br /> Nal, THEREFORE, We, the Orange County Board of Ommissioners, in full appreciation <br /> of the value of the soil to the public welfare, and desiring to honor <br /> those who protect it, do hereby proclaim May 16-23, 1982 SOIL STEWARD- <br /> SHIP WEEK in the County of Orange. <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and the Great Seal of the <br /> County of Orange to be affixed. <br /> Done at the Board of Obaudssioners <br /> meeting in the Courthouse of Orange <br /> County, the 3rd day of May, the Year <br /> of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred <br /> eighty-two. <br /> A40 <br /> '27 Allir>4( <br /> LAr t <br /> Richard E. ed, Chair <br /> Orange se.
