By clarifying the names on these roads <br /> service by emergency personnel should be easier. <br /> IMPACT: The naming of 77 public non-state maintained roads is somewhat more difficult <br /> than naming State maintained roads. Some of the problems are: the question <br /> of ownership of the right of way (whether it is in fact public) , which of the <br /> many rights of way should be designated as a public road; should there be a <br /> minimum number of dwelling units on a road before it is namAd; since the <br /> ownership of the right of way is difficult to ascertain some private drives <br /> may inadvertently be named. The naming of these roads may be useful to <br /> emergency services and in helping citizens find addresses. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : That the roads be named as recommended, but that the intersections <br /> not be posted with signs by the County. <br />
