0 9 5 13 <br /> J,1 <br /> • <br /> MUTES <br /> APRIL 26, 1982 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, <br /> April 26, 1982, at 7:30 P.M. in the COmmissioners' Roam, Orange County Court- <br /> house, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> Commissioners present: Chairman Richard E. Whitted, and Cbmmissioners Norm <br /> Gustaveson, Shirley E. Marshall, Norman Walker and Don Willhoit. <br /> A. Board Cements: <br /> COmmissioner Willhoit asked about the deadline for response to the Cane Creek <br /> Environmental Impact Statement and the County's plans for such response. Staff <br /> told Commissioner Willhoit that the Cane Creek EIS was scheduled for the May 3rd <br /> agenda and that Planning Staff response was available now if the Board desired it. <br /> Commissioner Walker added-an item about the possibility of a local ordinance <br /> prohibiting spotlighting of deer. <br /> B. Audience Comments: <br /> There were none. <br /> C. Items For Decision By Board: <br /> 1. Addition of Chesidy Circle in Oak Hills Subdivision to the State maintained <br /> system. Clommissioner Marshall moved to approve, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, <br /> the addition of Chesidy Circle to the State Secondary Road System, Vote: Ayes, <br /> 5; noes, 0, <br /> 2. Public Hearing date for naming of State and non-State maintained roads.. <br /> The Board set May 18, 1982, as the date for the public hearing on the State and <br /> non-State maintained roads. <br /> 3. Resolution supporting passage of Statewide Referendum on Clean Water Bonds. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Marshall, to adopt the <br /> Resolution supporting passage of the Statewide referendum on Clean Water Bonds <br /> (That Resolution is on page of this book.) During discussion, Commissioner <br /> Wilihoit said that awarding of Clean Water Bond money should not be contingent <br /> upon obtaining other sources of funding; that there should be no "strings" on <br /> the source of matching funds for Clean Water Bond money. There was a consensus <br /> of the Board to include a statement to this effect in the letter of transmittal <br /> to Triangle 3 Council of Governments. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />
