030 <br /> ' <br /> ROUGH DRAFT <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> April 6, 1982 <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Crawford, (chair}, Steve Kizer, Sally Boericke, <br /> David Shanklin, Logan Irvin, John Wilson, Alice Gordon, <br /> Hazel Lunsford, Tom Bacon <br /> GUESTS: Fred Hazard, Lee Mehler, Jim Ray, Elenor Irvin <br /> STAFF: Rick Cannity, Jim Polatty, 'Fred Luce, Norma Walker <br /> AGENDA ITEM 0 3: Proposed amendment to the Land Use Plan for Buck Mountain <br /> Development Corporation. <br /> Polatty restated the staff's recommendation and said the <br /> staff would limit its presentation to answering any questions. <br /> MOTION: Kizer moved for approval and recommendations of planning <br /> staff to not recommend the changes in Land Use Plan as <br /> requested. Wilson seconded. <br /> Kizer gave two reasons for his motion are: 1) Matters of <br /> policy concerning patchwork amendment to Land Use Plan as <br /> opposed to a County wide process; 2) All studies in the <br /> Land Use Plan are in direct opposition with this. <br /> Wilson stated that the people heard at the Public Rearing <br /> do not want the changes. No testimony on changes in Land <br /> Use Plan was heard They said that we're simply not answering <br /> the question. <br /> Irvin feld that we've spent a lot of time developing the <br /> Land Use Plan The proposed change for Bingham township will <br /> have an adverse impact on township and county. It encourages <br /> commercial. High density development in an area that has <br /> been designated for argriculture and residential. It will <br /> have a serious impact on Cane Creek Watershed. <br /> VOTE: Seven in favor with Shanklin opposed and one abstention. <br /> 4 <br />
