The following is a summary of the Plan- <br /> ning Board's deliberations on this request: <br /> 1. Concern about "patchwork" amendments to the Land Use Plan, <br /> amendments should be considered separate from rezoning requests. <br /> 2. This request is contary to the goals and policies set forth in <br /> the Land Use Flan for Bingham Township. <br /> 3, A development of this size and intensity would have adverse impacts <br /> on Bingham Township. <br /> 4, The close proximity of this development to Cane Creek Watershed <br /> and prime agricultural land, and the pressures that will be exerted <br /> for other commercial development. <br /> 5. The request would allow development of an intensity which is <br /> inapnronriate at this particular location. <br /> IMPACT: Approval of the requested change in the Land Use Plan would allow the <br /> rezoning of this property to Planned Development-Office Institutional. <br /> Denial of this change would not allow the rezoning, <br /> 1=T:1:DATION: The Planning Board recommended that the Land Use Plan not be amended as <br /> requested. Motion passed with 7 in favor andgone opposed. <br /> The Planning Staff recommended that the Land Use Plan not be amended <br /> to designate this area as a Commercial Transition Activity Node. <br /> /sw <br />
