The Planning Board reviewed-this request at their March 15, 1982 <br /> meeting and were concerned about two related items. <br /> The possible future hook up to water and sewer lines when they are extneded to <br /> this area, and the problem with fire protection since there were no fire hydrants <br /> in this area. Although these two concerns were seen as something Cleora Sterling <br /> should address in the future, the Planning Board agreed that there would be <br /> minimal impact from this rezoning. <br /> IMPACT: Approval of this request would allow Cleora Sterling to locate part of their <br /> proposed addition in Orange County's jurisdiction. Denial would require then <br /> to build in Carrboro's jurisdiction. <br /> RECOMVENDATICN: The Planning Board recommends approval ialth stated concern for fire <br /> protection. <br /> The Planning Staff recommends approval based upon the letter from the Town <br /> of Carrboro, the minimal impact involved in the rezoning, the fact that <br /> Cleora Sterling is a pre-existing use, and most of the use is inside Carrboro' <br /> zoning jurisdiction. <br />
