<br /> THIS DEED, made and entered into this day of .. , 1982,
<br /> by and between ORANGE COUNTY, Party of the First Part; and VANGUARD
<br /> ENERGY COMPANY, of 7615 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, North Carolina
<br /> 27603, Party of the Second Part;
<br /> WITNESSETH:
<br /> THAT said Party of the First Part, in consideration of the sum of
<br /> ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE AND 81/100 DOLLARS
<br /> ($1,121.81) to it in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has
<br /> pursuant to North Carolina General Statute Section 105-376(c), bargained and
<br /> sold, and by these presents does bargain, sell and convey unto the said Party
<br /> of the Second Part, its heirs and assigns a certain tract of land lying and
<br /> being in Chapel Hill Township, Orange County, North Carolina and more
<br /> particularly described as follows;
<br /> All that certain lot or parcel of land situate, lying and being on the West
<br /> side of Wentworth Street and known and designated as part of Lot 1, Block B,
<br /> of COLE HEIGHTS EXTENSION No. 2 as surveyed and plotted by E. M.
<br /> Carlisle in May, 1947, and which said lot hereby conveyed is more particularly
<br /> described as BEGINNING at a stake on the West property line of Wentworth
<br /> Street, which is established by measuring North 6° 55' East 100 feet to a
<br /> stake in the South property line of Johnson Street extended; running therm
<br /> along the South property line of the said street South 85° 48' West 150 ft
<br /> to a stake in the Eastern line of the property formerly owned by Pacific
<br /> Mills; running thence with the line of that property South 40° 16' West 88
<br /> feet, more or less, to a stake, the Northwest corner of property of F. M.
<br /> Carlisle, III; running thence with the line of that property South 82° 51' East
<br /> 195 feet to the BEGINNING, (same having been purchased at foreclosure sale
<br /> by Orange County at Deed Book 281, Page 1211, Orange County Registry).
<br /> TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, said lands and premises, together with all
<br /> privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to it the said Party of the
<br /> Second Part and its heirs and assigns forever, free and discharged from all
<br /> right, title, claim or interest of the said Party of the First Part or anyone
<br /> claiming by, through or under it.
<br /> This conveyance is made expressly subject to any and all claims and
<br /> liens of the Town of Chapel Hill, Orange County, North Carolina, for taxes,
