_ .• <br /> •Tj <br /> • <br /> ••24.1043 ::;'..ii4 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA . <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, VANGUARD ENERGY COMPANY (Vanguard) of 7615 <br /> Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603, has offered to repurchase <br /> from Orange County land previously owned by it and foreclosed by Orange <br /> County for non-payment of property taxes and more fully explained in that <br /> Offer to Purchase attached hereto; <br /> WHEREAS, Vanguard has offered to purchase said land for the sum of <br /> ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE AND 81/100 DOLLARS <br /> ($1,121.81) and has deposited same with Douglas Hargrave as escrow agent; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is resolved that Orange County, by and through <br /> its governing unit, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute Section 105- <br /> 376(e), in its discretion will sell and convey to Vanguard Energy Company, a <br /> former owner, the property hereinbelow described: <br /> Al! that certain lot or parcel of land situate, lying and being on the West <br /> side of Wentworth Street and known and designated as part of Lot 1, Block 13, <br /> of COLE HEIGHTS EXTENSION No. 2 as surveyed and plotted by E. M. <br /> C:mlisle in May, 1947, and which said lot hereby conveyed is more particularly <br /> described as BEGINNING at a stake on the West property line of Wentworth <br /> Street, which is established by measuring North 6° 55' East 100 feet to a <br /> stake in the South property line of Johnson Street extended; running thence <br /> along the South propetty line of the said street South 85° 48' West 150 feet <br /> to a stake in the Eastern line of the property formerly owned by Pacific <br /> Mills; running thence with the line of that property South 40° 16' West 88 <br /> feet, more or less, to a stake, the Northwest corner of property of F.
