Orange County should implement the following zoning districts and <br /> associated 'erformance standards in protected watersheds: a minimum <br /> - -- 2 acre residential lot size coupled with stormwater sZinz •etre- . - <br /> quirements which will insure that the .ualit and quantity of run- <br /> off from a site approximates the ,redevelo.ment conditions. A minimum <br /> 5 acre resdiential lot size without re.uiring stormwater management <br /> measures. Orange County should require stream buffers along perennial streams <br /> in water su.pl watersheds and stipulate land uses for these buffer <br /> areas ap.ro.riate to their intended function. The Task Force recommends <br /> that the width of stream buffer alon an length of stream be 50 feet <br /> //us 4 times the percent slo.e. The stream buffer should be measured <br /> from the edge of the flood plain. The technical review committee es- <br /> tablished in the County Zoning Ordinance should review the buffer re- <br /> quirements or all pro.osed non-residential developments and require <br /> additional buffer areas where necessary.
