ENO TAC
November 10, 1981
Page 5
Council members discussed the absence of certain pieces of information
noted in the Report and expressed concern that this information be
considered prior to any action on the Report.
MOTION: _
Harris motioned that
consideration be given to delay action
on the Report until other parts of the
equation were available ( such as, the
status of Cane Creek; information on the
supply in Jordan Reservoir; the State
report; and stormwater management measures).
Barbour amended the original motion to include the reference to storm—
water management measures.
Barbour inquired if the County had a conservation plan. : Luce responded
that the resolution was passed by the Board.
Rees noted that he had reservations on the motion. but that even so,the ' .-
motion would pass without his vote.
VOTE: Motion passed, Rees abstaining.
Barbour expressed concern with the lack of conservation efforts in Chapel
Hill. Harris agreed noting that thet, owns included the majority of users.
Luce responded that CM2 SA has a Conservation Plan for University Lake
based on the level below the dam during a drought.
Barbour asked if the Eno State Park Reservoir site was referenced in the
Report. Luce responded that it had but noted that it was out of the
County.
Barbour asked if there had been any consideration of landowner compensation
due to these restrictions. Luce responded that that had not been formally
considered by the Task Force, but that that would be addressed if
the regulations implied limitations to usage of the land to a reasonable
degree.
RECOMMENDATION #
