The Commissioners had <br /> referred this project back to the Board for the same reasons as Item *7, <br /> Kirk stated that staff recommended approval of the revised preliminary pia <br /> There was a brief discussion of the idea of shared entrances, and its use- <br /> fulness. <br /> Motion for approval of revised plan made by Cleary seconded by Irvin, apprc <br /> unanimously Lunsford abstained, <br /> Agenda Item 49: Renewal of preliminary plan approval of Oakdale Woods <br /> Kirk gave a brief presentation, stating that this was the second request. <br /> for a one year extention of preliminary approval. The request had been app <br /> first in 1979, and renewed in 1980. Cannity apologized for not have a form <br /> - -7-- staff recommendation, he stated staff recommended approval. He also stated <br /> that some of the Board's previous conc.-..rns about water pressure in the Oakd <br /> area may be addressed by the construction of Cornwallis Hills Subdivision, <br /> and the proposed water tank. Since the project was originally approved <br /> the Town of Hillsborough had zoned the area. The minimum lot size meets tht <br /> towns zoning.requirements. <br /> Motion to approve one (1) year extension of preliminary plan by Kizer, <br /> seconded by Lunsford, approved unanimously. Shanklin abstained. <br /> Agenda Item 410: Board discussion of the Northern Fairview Redevelopment <br /> Plan and the 1979 Community Development Target Area Study.. <br /> Polatty introduced Albert Kittrell, Orange County Community Develommant Dire <br /> He briefly described the process the Planning Department had gone through <br /> in arriving at the Northern FairvieW Target Area request for funding. The <br /> study included the levels of rehabilitation needed in an area, the number of <br /> units requiring work, etc. Kittrell answered questions by the Board, cancer; <br /> ing location, demolition and condemnation of property. <br /> Agenda Item 411: Water Resources Task Force Remort <br /> _ <br />
