Planning Board Minutes <br /> sPotember 21, 1981 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Crawford tabled the discussion on the Report until the <br /> minutes of the Township Adivosry Councils' review <br /> of the Report were available. She tabled the discussion <br /> until the Third Monday in October. <br /> Luce idstributed the unapproved Township Adivsory <br /> Council minutes and a handout on stormwater management <br /> measures. <br /> Sim Efland spoke to the Board. He indicated that Orange <br /> County needed jobs and a better tax base which industry <br /> could provide. He noted that he was involved in discussions <br /> iwth an out-of-state industry which was considering <br /> moving to Orange County. He inquired as to where there <br /> was a suitable area for an industry to locate. Polatty <br /> responded that the Land Use Plan idtntifies at least <br /> five areas throughout the County for future industrial. <br /> development: Mebane and the Hillsborough Industrial. <br /> Park have both water and sewer, Eno- 2 and Eno-3 land use <br /> transition nodes have water but no sewer and Efland <br /> (Cheeks - 1) node has water and proposal for an industrial <br /> park has been made northwest of Chapel Hill- Carrboro by <br /> the Town of Carrboro and the Carrboro- Chapel Hill Chamber <br /> of Commerce. <br /> /sw <br />
