4'; ; : -4'.2t 4)•'-`1,:,;7'': <br /> Planning Board Minutes <br /> September 21, 1981 <br /> Page 2 <br /> for American Stone, Extension of Zoning to Cheeks Township <br /> and changes to the Zoning. <br /> Ben Lloyd spoke in opposition to extension of zoning to <br /> Cheeks Township at least until the report of the Water <br /> Task Force had been accepted and implemented in the <br /> zoning ordinance. Lloyd indicated the residents of <br /> Cheeks were particularly concerned with the restrictions <br /> _ <br /> - On development in the I-8S - US 70 corridor. ' <br /> • <br /> Shanklin clarified that the Water Resources Task Force <br /> Report should stand on its own merit, not as an official <br /> odcument. <br /> Shanklin moved that the public hearing on the extension <br /> of zoning to Cheeks Township be delayed until at least <br /> 30 days after the Zoning Ordinance was published and <br /> distributed throughout the Township so that public <br /> comments would be meaningful. Gordon seconded. <br /> Discussion: Polatty indicated that the purpose of <br /> the public hearing is to get input on the proposed <br /> extension of the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Kizer expressed opposition to the motion adding that IS <br /> days- is enough if it is distributed tomorrow, particularly <br /> - for those seriously interested in it. <br /> Shanklin stated that he was concerned with the availability <br /> of the ordinance to the public. <br /> Motion failed with Shanklin, Lunsford, Gordon, Irvin for; <br /> Cleary, Kizer, Wilson, Laszlo against - chair broke tie <br /> vote with Crawford against. <br /> Agenda Item #7: Report on the Status of the By-Laws by the By-Laws Subcommitte <br /> Gordon gave a brief presentation on the status of the <br /> Planning Board By-Laws. <br /> Agenda Item #8: Special. Use: Permit Class by the County Attorney <br /> Staff gave a brief presentation on the class by the <br /> County Attorney to be held 9-28-81 .on holding a <br /> Special Use Permit Hearing, <br /> Agenda Item #9: County Commissioners Moritorium on Subdivisions in <br />
