0[)°~- �D9 <br /> STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> COUNTY OF ORANGE <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS, senior employment program employees play <br /> a vital role in Orange County, and <br /> WHEREAS , we wish to acknowledge the contributions of <br /> these 55 and older citizens who are committed to work for their <br /> support while serving many of our needy citizens, and <br /> WHEREAS, without our senior employees, home repairs of <br /> elderly would go undone, the isolated would neither receive <br /> daily reassurance calls nor help with problems, senior citizens <br /> -would not be picked up for essential trips , meals would not be <br /> served to those who need their nutritional value, care for the <br /> homebound with limited finances would not be available, and <br /> WHEREAS, these employees contribute so much for a very small <br /> - <br /> reimbursement, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County <br /> Board of Commissioners does hereby support the continuation <br /> of Title V Senior Employment Program, and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners does hereby encourage the President of the United <br /> States and the Congress of the United States to maintain funding <br /> for this most worthwhile program. <br /> Adopted this day of 19 <br /> Richard E.
