..-----' 00644 <br /> , APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION 8("3r.: <br /> Date: r r <br /> T0: The Honorable Board of County Commissioners, <br /> Orange County, North Carolina <br /> CMIISSIONERS: <br /> That if the Land Use Plan for Orange County is modified or changed in <br /> Chapel Hill Township from Rural Residential to a Twenty Year Transition Area <br /> and the area be classified a Commercial Transition Activity Node, which is to <br /> be called the Murphy School Commercial Transition Activity Node as requested, <br /> this property being within the area described and set forth in Exhibit A hereto <br /> attached, then we, the following property owners, request the Board of County <br /> Commissioners to rezone our respective properties, now classified as Rural <br /> Residential to Comnuni,ty Commercial Three Zone. <br /> That the reasons we make this request are as follows: . <br /> 1. That the area involved is obviously not of a rural residential <br /> character. <br /> 2. That there are already existing in this area some eight or nine <br /> commercial operations; Dean's Truck & Coach, C & M Electric, Phillips General <br /> Repair, Bass' Welding Shop, Corner Grocery, Starcastle Disco, Orange Glass <br /> Company, Piedmont Paving Company, and Automotive Catering Service. That many <br /> of these commercial ventures have been in operation for as much as ten years <br /> or more at their present locations. <br /> 3. That this 4.
