Should the permits be <br /> granted, we will move immediately to acquire a fire truck and will expect <br /> Midway's share to be availahle upon request. We will also move to upgrade <br /> our level of training and try to recruit new members for daytime fire- <br /> fighting. If neCessary, we will recommend raising the fire tax in order <br /> to support a paid fireman. <br /> In summary, our preference is that the commissioners not grant permits for <br /> the Midway development.
