ARTICLE 4 . COURTESY REVIEW <br /> SECTION 4 . 1 COURTESY REVIEW ESTABLISHED. <br /> It is agreed that Orange County , Chapel Hill and Carrboro, through <br /> their respective planning departments , will advise each other and <br /> OWASA in writing as to their respective land use plans and asso- <br /> ciated land use policies and regulations and amendments thereto . <br /> OWASA in turn will advise the governmental units of their water <br /> and sewer extension policies and regulations and amendments there- <br /> . to. <br /> SECTION 4 . 2 COURTESY REVIEW SCHEDULES. <br /> Each party to the Agreement shall establish a review schedule for <br /> projects within their respective jurisdictions . These schedules <br /> are outlined in a Addendum to the Agreement and may be changed <br /> by the respective parties without requiring an amendment to the <br /> Agreement . Each party to the Agreement shall be given proper <br /> notification of the change. <br /> SECTION 4 . 3 COURTESY REVIEW AREA. <br /> It is agreed that within the Joint Planning Area courtesy review <br /> is extended as follows : <br /> Orange Colnty 's courtesy review area encompasses the entire Joint <br /> Planning Area. <br /> Chapel. Hill' s and Carrboro' s courtesy review areas are delineated <br /> to the north by the Southern Railroad line and to the south by a <br /> line 250 ' east of the centerline of Smith Level Road (SR 1919) . <br /> Chapel Hill's review area lies to the east of said lines and <br /> Carrboro' s review area lies to the west of said -lines . <br /> SECTION 4 . 4 COURTESY REVIEW PERIOD. <br /> The governmental unit in whose jurisdiction a request is made will <br /> allow sufficient time for the other parties to conduct their review <br /> prior to final action on the request . The parties reviewing a <br /> request within the jurisdiction of another party will conduct their <br /> review as expeditiously as possible . <br /> The courtesy review period will begin on the day a request is acc- <br /> epted by a particular party, at which time they will mail additional <br /> copies of the request to affected parties of the Agreement for reviev <br /> The courtesy review period will be forty-five ( 45) days during <br /> which period the reviewing parties will provide the party with final <br /> responsibility with a written response. <br /> The single exception to the specified courtesy review period are <br /> minor subdivisions . The courtesy review period for minor sub- <br /> divisions will be fifteen (15) days . <br /> 5 <br />
