Therefore, <br /> 500 building and flood permits will be issued and an average <br /> of 4 people/day will need our assistance. <br /> WORK OBJECTIVE 7: INFORM COUNTY BOARDS OF DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES <br /> THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY BY SENDING MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> OF MINOR SUBDIVISION ACTIVITY, AND AN ANNUAL <br /> REPORT OF ALL REZONINGS AND NEW SUBDIVISION <br /> 6 MONTH REPORT::: <br /> Two reports to the County Commissioners and Planning Board told <br /> how much activity is going on that neither of these Boards <br /> review. Minor subdivision activity has remained high even <br /> with the bad business climate. There were 43 minor subdivisions <br /> • approved within the last 6 months. <br /> PROJECTIONS FOR NEXT. 6 MONTHS: <br /> There will be about 45 minors to be submitted in the next 6 <br /> months through 6 monthly reports. The reports are used by <br /> other individuals, such as the Power Companies, Telephone, <br /> Cable T.V., etc. for their work. <br /> WORK OBJECTIVES 8: PROVIDE SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS TO OTHER <br /> PUBLIC GROUPS, SUCH AS THE TOWNSHIP <br /> ADVISORY COUNCILS <br /> 6 MONTHS REPORT: <br /> In the past 6 months the Current Planning staff gave 3 <br /> presentations to Public Groups especially the Township <br /> Advisory Councils. These meetings were to give citizens <br /> the opportunity for input on development proposals prior <br /> to public hearings. The meetings are also for input on <br /> the changes to the land use code or zoning ordinance, <br /> PROJECTIONS FOR NEXT 6 MONTHS: <br /> In the next 6 months the planning staff will give 6 special <br /> • presentations. <br /> WORK OBJECTIVE 9: CONTINUALLY RE-EVALUATE LAND USE DEVELOPMENT <br /> REGULATIONS AND PROPOSE REVISIONS, TO INSURE <br /> THE MOST EFFICIENT REGULATIONS POSSIBLE <br /> 6 MONTH REPORT: <br /> Current Planning continually strives to expedite the review <br /> process for development proposals. We started regular staff <br /> meetings for review of proposals and now the review time is 11 <br /> of what it used to be. If the work load increases as we expect <br /> it to there will be a need for the most efficient system possible. <br /> In the last 6 months a new zoning ordinance has been adopted <br /> for 4 townships and in the next 6 months, work will begin on <br />
