•
2
PROJECTIONS FOR NEXT 6 r)JNTis:
The Board of Commissioners have now established the Agriculture
Task Force Report Implementation Committee. Staffs role will be
to staff meetings and produce drafts of new legislation or changes
in legislation to implement the report. Suggested schedule for
completion of this work is as follows:
1. February 15 - March 1 First draft of documents
2. First committee meeting
3. Revise draft as necessary
4. March B-12 Second committee meeting to review revised draft
5. Meeting between Institute of Government representatives and
committee to review revised draft,
• 6. March 29 - April 2 Final committee meeting,
WORK OBJECTIVE 7: DEVELOP JOINT PLANNING PROCESS
6 MONTH REPORT:
This objective is mostly completed. Minor revisions to
the combined Joint Planning Agreement are required before
the next and final meeting of the Joint Planning Committee,
PROJECTIONS FOR NEXT 6 MONTHS:
The deliberations of the individual boards as well as the
joint meeting of all boards will require some staff time.
A permanent Joint Planning Board for Chapel Hill and Carrboro
if created, may require staff but I would not expect this
group to be in-existance until after July 1, 1982.
Staff' would like to revise the Joint Planning Agreements
drafted for Chapel Hill/Carrboro to make it suitable for
Hillsborough and submit it to the Hillsborough Town Board
for their consideration. This would take several days of
staff time.
. WORK 0: 8: STAFF TOWNSHIP ADVISORY COUNCTIS
6 MONTH REPORT:
Staff attended a number of Township Advisory Council meetings
over the past six months in connection with the Water Task
Force report. The completed Airport Study and Area Plan
for Harmon-Young Activity Node proposed to be accomplished
in the second half of the year may mean a fairly heavy
schedule of Advisory Council meetings for us in the next
several months.
PROJECTIONS FOR NEXT 6 MONTHS:
Township Advisory Council review of reports produced (Airport
Study, Area Plan the Harmon-Young Activity Node) as well as
some proposed amendments to the Land Use Plan Map will require
