- <br /> '0 <br /> VOLUNTEEW" FOR YOUTH, INC. <br /> WHEREAS some of the youth of'Orylge County need a responsible <br /> adult friend in the community to increase their self-esteem and their <br /> ability to function in society in a constructive way, <br /> WHEREAS Volunteers for Youth, Inc. is a non-profit corporation <br /> recently created by community representatives to provide one-to-one <br /> relationships of adult volunteers with Orange County youth at risk <br /> and to mobilize needed professional services for these youth, <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners recognizes the <br /> need for this vital community service and wishes to cooperate as fully <br /> as possible with Volunteers for Youth, <br /> THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners <br /> supports Volunteers for Youth, Inc. and encourages the citizens of <br /> Change County to give generously of their time and money so that this <br /> much needed service for youth can become a functioning service program <br /> in Orange County for positive youth development. <br /> _ . <br />
