Kizer seconded. <br /> Carried unanimously. <br /> Recommendation #6 <br /> Grange County should promote efforts to conserve water. <br /> Kizer moved approval of the recommendation. Laszlo seconded. <br /> Carriedunardmously. <br /> Reoanwaulation #7 <br /> Adoption of a land use plan which identifiPs protected <br /> watersheds. <br /> Luce explained that these watersheds were shown on the Land <br /> Use Plan which was approved by the Planning:Board and adopted <br /> by the County Commissioners and no further action was needed <br /> from this Board on this recommendation. <br /> Recommendation 48 <br /> Orange County should adopt a Land Use Plan which preserves and <br /> enhances water quality in protected watersheds. <br /> Luce pointed out that the adopted Land Use Plan approved by the <br /> Board incorporates this recommendation with the exception of <br /> McGowan Creek, watershed areas in the Plan are law density <br /> residential areas with little or no commercial or industrial <br /> areas. <br /> Kizer motioned that the recommendation be approved with the <br /> addition of either the watershed for sites 17 or 18 added as <br /> a protected watershed. Irvin seoanded. Ayes: Kizer, Gordon, <br /> Cleary, Bacon, Wilson, Irvin. Noes: None'. <br /> Reoonnmulation <br /> Implementation of protection measures by Carrboro, Alanence <br /> County, Hillsborough and Chatham County. <br /> ,A11/ Gordon motioned to accept the reccemendation with a change in <br /> the wording from "should incorporate" to "should be encouraged <br /> to incorporate". Irvin seconded. Ayes: Kizer, Gordon, Barri: <br /> Wilson, Laszlo. Noes: Cleary, Lunsford. Abstention: Bacon. <br />
