CAROLINA <br /> 2727.8 <br /> Olt <br /> • "..! <br /> 4t, — <br /> 4."4 csr, <br /> NOTICE <br /> The Orange County Planning Board and County Commissioners will hold <br /> a Public Hearing on Monday January 25, 1992 at 730 p.m. in the <br /> Superior Courtroom of the Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough, <br /> North Carolina. <br /> In this meeting Duke Power will be requesting a rezoning to PD-OI <br /> and "Class A" Special Use Permit under Section 8.8..23 (Planned <br /> Developments) of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance- Duke Power <br /> is requesting to construct their Operations Center at the North- <br /> west intersection of S.R. 1777 (Homestead Road) and NC 86. This <br /> property is located in Chapel Hill Township on Tax Map 24, part <br /> of lot 41, involving 14.84 acres. <br /> We are required to notify all property owners within 500 feet <br /> of the property concerning this request. All persons who wish <br /> to speak concerning this request will be heard at this meeting. <br /> The Orange County Board of Cormiissiorersacts in a Quasi-Judicial <br /> matter in hearing this special use. If all requirements in the <br /> Zoning Ordinance are met, the Board must approve this application <br /> unless the Board finds one of three other conditions applies. <br /> Those opposing approval of the application on the grounds that <br /> the use will not promote the public health, safety and general <br /> welfare, will not maintain or enhance the value of contiguous <br /> property or is not in compliance with the general plans for the <br /> physical development of the County,shall have the burden of <br /> establishing, by competent material and substantial evidence, <br /> the specific manner in which the proposed use does not satisfy <br /> the requirements for approval of the application for a Special <br /> Use. <br /> /sw <br /> 7 <br />
