Board Comments <br /> Commissioner Rich said congratulations to the University of North Carolina for its <br /> achievements in Waste Matters. She said the Chapel Hill Town Council is discussing the <br /> creation of a committee about the old Town Hall building. She asked if this topic could be <br /> added to the next meeting agenda. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said this item is already on the agenda for the November 15th <br /> meeting. <br /> Commissioner Price gave an update from the most recent Triangle Area Rural Planning <br /> Organization (TARPO) meeting regarding funding for projects on North Carolina Highway 54. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said there will be a Community Police Summit on November 9th, at the <br /> library in Hillsborough. He said the Hillsborough Police Department has had body cameras for <br /> three years. <br /> Commissioner Pelissier had no comments. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said the website 538 stated that Donald Trump has the same <br /> chance of winning the Presidency as the Cubs do to win the World Series. He said the Cubs <br /> are currently about to tie the series 3 to 3. He said the website is one that does statistical <br /> analysis of polls in order to make projections. <br /> Commissioner Burroughs said it is Commissioner Jacobs' birthday today. <br /> Chair McKee said he attended the State of the Schools program for Orange County <br /> schools, which was very informative, covering the current status, future plans, and how these <br /> plans will be achieved. He said choral groups from both high schools performed, as well as a <br /> jazz band and some elementary level choral groups. He said it was a very good program. He <br /> asked if all Commissioners received an invitation to this event. <br /> All Commissioners said the invitation was received. <br /> 13.
