Highway 86 and the southern right-of-way line of <br /> Dairyland Road. <br /> BACKGROUND: On October 14, 1987, a public hearing was conducted to <br /> receive citizen comment on the proposed Joint Planning <br /> Agreement between Orange County, Chapel Hill and <br /> Carrboro. At the hearing, Mr. Randy Danziger, a <br /> Calvander resident, requested that the southwestern <br /> boundary line of Transition Area I north of Carrboro be <br /> shifted from its present location to follow the right- <br /> of-way or centerline of Hillsborough Road (Old N.C. <br /> Highway 86) . <br /> Subsequent to the public hearing, Mr. Danziger <br /> petitioned the Orange County Planning Board to adjust <br /> • the boundary line as requested on October 14. Since the <br /> adjustment involved an amendment to the Joint Planning <br /> Area Land Use Plan which was not advertised, it could <br /> not be considered for approval. Mr. Danziger was <br /> informed that his proposal would be considered at the <br /> 411 next Joint Planning public hearing. <br /> - The-present boUndar-y—of--Transition Area I follows the <br /> drainage divide between University Lake Watershed and <br />
