It addresses the question of the <br /> number of people living and working in the <br /> area now along with projections for the next <br /> twenty years. Plan Formulation <br /> The information and policy decisions derived in the <br /> Plan development stage are integrated in the Plan <br /> formulation stage. <br /> A. Land Use Plan Categories/Location Standards <br /> A list of Land Use Plan categories has been <br /> developed as well as a list of location <br /> standards for each of the Plan categories. <br /> B. Land Use Plan 41! <br /> A Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan (text and <br /> map) has been formulated by integrating the <br /> four major plan development elements above and <br /> Plan categories and locations standards to <br /> allocate land uses and required acreages. <br /> SUMMARY OF THE JOINT Pumeara ASREEMENT <br /> The Joint Planning Area is an area outside the <br /> extraterritorial planning jurisdictions of the Towns of <br /> Chapel Hill and Carrboro, but with the Joint Planning Area <br /> boundary as shown on the, accompanying map. The Joint Planning <br /> Agreement adopted on November g, 1987 is a formal agreement <br /> between Orange County, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro. A summary <br /> of the major provisions of the Agreement is as follows: <br /> 1. Provides for the application of Chapel Hill and <br /> Carrboro development standards within Transition <br /> Areas designated in the Joint Planning Area Land <br /> Use Plan, following the adoption of a zoning mart, <br /> and district designations based on the Towns'. <br /> respective Land Development Ordinances and <br /> consistent with the land use categories contained <br /> 410 <br /> in-the Joint PlanninR,Area Land Use Plan. <br />
