Amending the Joint Planning Land Use Plan text and map to reflect the existence and show the location of Transition- Area I and II designations. Section 2. 6 of the Joint Planning Agreement also sets forth procedures for processing amendments to the Orange County Zoning Ordinance (and Atlas), the Chapel Hill Land Development Ordinance and the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance. (Copy attached. ) The proposed amendment addresses the procedures by which amendments to the municipal ordinances and zoning plans are incorporated into the County Zoning Ordinance (and Atlas). EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISIONS: None PROPOSED AMENDMENT: The proposed amendment is as follows: 20.3.3 applicAtions for Amendments-Joint Plannin Area Applications for amendments to the Orange County Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Atlas for the purpose of incorporating the provisions of the Chapel Hill Land Development Ordinance land Zoning-Meps) lor the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance land 'Zoning Maps).-shall be as specified in this Article and as specified in the Joint Planning Agreement adopted. November 2, 1987. Any text amendments adopted by. Orange County shall be adopted by reference as though fully set forth herein. Any map amendments adopted by Orange County shall be officially denoted on the County. Zoning Atlas. Where there is inconsistency. between the amendment procedures contained in this Article and those contained in the Joint Planning .Agreement,. the provisions of the Joint Planning Agreement shall apply.
