. _ <br /> • Planning Board: March 1, 1988 Attachment 1 <br /> . <br /> Staff and Planning Board Recommendation 157 <br /> AN ORDINANCE lit-ZONING PROPERTY IN THE JOINT PLANNING TRANSITION <br /> 411 AREA . <br /> WHEREAS, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Orange County adopted a Joint <br /> Planning Agreement on November 2, 1987; and 1 <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, Chapel Hill and Orange County adopted the Joint Planning <br /> Land Use Plan on October 13, 1986; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Town Council adopted the Chapel Hill <br /> Land Use Plan on July 14, 1986; and <br /> WHEREAS, both the Joint Planning and the Chapel Hill Land Use <br /> Plans are components of the Town's Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapel Hill's Transition Area is identified in the Joint <br /> ' Planning Agreement and the agreement calls for the application of <br /> Chapel Hill development standards within the Town's Transition <br /> Area; <br /> • WHEREAS, the rezoning of the Chapel Hill Transition Area proper- <br /> ties, as shown on the attached maps, would achieve the purposes <br /> of the Comprehensive Plan; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Chapel <br /> Hill that the Council approves the proposed rezoning for the <br /> 410 Transition Area from Orange County zoning to the Chapel. Hill <br /> zoning designations identified on the attached maps and recom- <br /> mends that the Orange County .
