Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2016- <br /> 17. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 1. The Department of Social Services has received $1,585 from the State to be used for <br /> events and services for the Orange County veterans community. (See Attachment 1, <br /> column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable <br /> to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks & Recreation <br /> 2. The Department of Environment, Agriculture, and Parks & Recreation (DEAPR) received <br /> a $3,000 donation from the Strawbridge Photography Studio. DEAPR will use these <br /> funds for recreation program supplies. The department also received reimbursement <br /> funds of $700 from the Cedar Grove Neighborhood Association related to a hot dog <br /> selling event during the Center's handmade puppet parade. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 2) <br />
