He said there is a consensus <br /> 8 of value in the process of engaging stakeholders, and suggested staying on a timeline to <br /> 9 approve this on November 15th <br /> 10 <br /> 11 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 12 defer the final consideration of this item to the November 15th BOCC meeting, and in the interim <br /> 13 direct staff and the County Attorney to meet with stakeholders, and the leadership of school <br /> 14 boards and to share information. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Commissioner Jacobs offered a friendly amendment to pick bedroom count as the <br /> 17 method before this is put out for further discussion. <br /> 18 Commissioner Dorosin accepted the friendly amendment. <br /> 19 Commissioner Price said she is not happy with the friendly amendment, but she would <br /> 20 accept it as she sees Commissioners nodding their heads. <br /> 21 Chair McKee said he is not nodding his head, and he feels that if a conversation is going <br /> 22 to be opened up, then it should be opened up in its entirety. He said no one has mentioned that anything that is <br /> 37 built will provide new property taxes, some of which may be significant. He said he is <br /> 38 adamantly against starting below the breakeven point. <br /> 39 Chair McKee said this whole topic does not have to be this complicated, and the <br /> 40 discussion tonight suggested ways to make it even more complicated.
